In Finland, we believe that education promotes the integrity of society, equality and active citizenship as well as people’s diverse development and well-being. The University of Eastern Finland, Karelia University of Applied Sciences and Riveria offer many educational opportunities in North Karelia. The city of Joensuu (kind of our capital here) has more than 20,000 students, which makes it the largest student city in Finland in relation to population.
